During November 15-30 2008 Article|08 presented a dozen of international art projects, performances and workshops as part of Stavanger's year as the European Capital of Culture. Article|08 provided interstices for «unstable art-forms»: we intended to encompass site-specific art which was not yet institutionalized and stabilized by traditional frameworks of production and distribution, art which crossed disciplinary boundaries, which engaged unusual contexts and references, or art which was not anchored by permanent static objects. The multiple events established an open arena for projects focusing on the evolution, ethics, politics and dissemination of technology and science-based illusions and perspectives.
